Using the static version...

First I started the game as-is, that was a disaster: The Main Menu screen was already stuttering and it took me some minutes to maneuver the mouse pointer over the "Quit" button to shut down the game.Working arrow keys or hotkeys (Escape / Alt-Q / Alt-X) would be nice...

Then I noticed that the depth was reported to be 16 bpp, maybe that was a problem... so I put it up to 24 bpp. Now I could at least use the main menu normally. Playing the game was not much of an success, though, since it was at a constant 5 fps in the first level. After turning off the shadows in the menu I managed to get 16+ fps, but the sound was stuttering worse than before. Still no luck...

I have to say, hardware acceleration is enabled and other games like Quake 3 can be played with quite alot of FPS!

Thanks for this complete report. We've already seen some troubles with some "low end" video card and/or drivers wich can be resolved by switching to windowed mode (or a lower desktop resolution with fullscreen mode).

For windowed mode, edit game/raydium.db and edit WindowSizeX/Y values (IIRC), and then launch the game with the --window switch.
