Hi all, I tested Maniadrive and really like it. I want to add it to a customized Knoppix for local schools. The problem is that the younger kids can't read the English texts. Would it be possible for the Maniadrive developers to use gettext (http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/) for internationalization? This way Maniadrive could be localized very easy to other languages. I would even volunteer for the German localization

Some work was started on this subject (vicente ?), but gettext is no that simple that many people claims, it seems

I have finished the i18n changes, but still we have one important difficulty: the characters. The current support for text(characters) can not display "strange" characters, usual in other languagues like mine, spanish. I hope in a short time this could be usefull. Anyway, i¡ll talk with xfennec to add the i18n support even if the chars don't display right. |
