Hi! :)

Great game, really ;-) There are not many Linux games that I like to play, now list is incremented ;-) (++ :P)

I have got some ideas:

a) map thumbnails (in menu)
b) more maps! :D
c) more cars (hate Clio ;P)
d) more cameras (better)
e) where is map editor? i cant find it...
f) Internet (not only LAN) multiplayer ;-)

OK, and more (devside):

a) filesystem is a little bit stupid, dont you think...? :) Maybe make subfolders, like "maps", etc...
b) code... in one file??!! oh my God ;-) I know, that game is simple, but YOU are not only one person who wants to contribute ;-) Believe me, reading this code is not funny ;-)

BTW, French women are great ;-) I love Frenchs :)

Regards,
Filip

Thanks for your report, and sorry about your comment on ManiaDrive website, it was flagged as spam ;)

a) map thumbnails -> good idea, but must done on server side (and it will require some work) to make the whole thing automatic.

b) more maps! -> Yeah ... we know it :)

c) more cars (hate Clio ;P) -> Blasphemy ! This is the only "real" car in the world ! More seriously, we've planned a huge enhancement for ManiaDrive, with a new world (new blocks) and a new car (and perhaps more) with a new physics. But it's a huge task ... :)

d) more cameras (better) -> Well ... Can you say more ?

e) where is map editor? i cant find it... -> This is "mania2".

f) Internet (not only LAN) multiplayer Wink -> Planned, require a lot of tests on the Raydium network stack. You may test how it works for you with the current version :)

I've updated the Roadmap according to some points of your message.

edit:
ManiaDrive 1.2 is the last release with a "flat" file tree, since Raydium now supports a "media path" feature.
... and about the source code in one file, we've already talked about this many times : it's like this for now, it may change one day. For us, ManiaDrive is still a small application for Raydium (= 1 file).

And one more... I want to disable this ***@!!~&#! "wrrrrrrr" (when driving).

ManiaDrive should be silent ;-) I'm listening to music while driving and this "wrrr" makes me crazy ;-)

Added to the TODO. If you want to fix it right now, you can remove "murcielago.wav" and create an empty file with the same name, it should work.

OK, next idea ;)

My favourite section of ManiaDrive is "Internet Tracks", 'cos I love comparing my scores with other players :)

And... You have to rebuild "Internet Tracks" interface. :) Select-option (known of HTML) is not very good idea to select track to drive, normal list (like beginner mode) will be much better. And... please, make ManiaDrive remember my best scores of each map, and how many times I was driving on it.

:)

I don't know how scores are stored but I found a potential problem. If someone other than me use the same pseudo, he could corrupt my personnal score no ?

Right. But I don't want to force people to create another account for the game ... Internet Tracks scores system must not be "trusted" ... for many reasons :)
