Post subject: | LAN Multiplayer under Windows XP |
Hi! Can someone help me creating a multiplayer game in a LAN with two Win XP computers? I tried to start mania_server.exe but this is the result: Code: Raydium: Raydium 3D Game Engine Raydium: version 0.705 Raydium: command line args: OK chdir: No error Raydium: using 'C:\Documents and Settings\PC_Desktop/.raydium' as home dir Raydium: timecall: win32 modulo every 19.98 minutes, modulodiv is 2^0 Raydium: timer: detection: 1 iterations: diff: 6 steps (3579545/sec) Raydium: timecall: method accuracy = 0.002 ms (596590.81 Hz) Raydium: timecall: Using basic gettimeofday() method Raydium: timecall: OK (596590 Hz) Raydium: timecall: softcall 0: 1 Hz (3579545 clocks interval) Raydium: PHP support: OK Raydium: network: OK Raydium: network: server socket created Raydium: network: server OK: waiting for clients (8 max) at udp port 29104 Raydium: webserver: OK Raydium: web: starting Raydium HTTP server on port 29104 Raydium: network: now broadcasting : 'ManiaDrive Server. Use --title to change : )' (ManiaDrive) version 10 Raydium: timecall: softcall 1: 1 Hz (3579545 clocks interval) Raydium: timecall: softcall 2: 1 Hz (3579545 clocks interval) Raydium: You need 'mania_server_tracks.txt' simple text track list file ! Server is disabled. Raydium: ERROR ! cannot switch to track '' ! I tried also writing the requested "mania_server_tracks.txt" file simply renaming mania_tracklist.txt, but: Code: Raydium: Raydium 3D Game Engine
Raydium: version 0.705 Raydium: command line args: OK chdir: No error Raydium: using 'C:\Documents and Settings\PC_Desktop/.raydium' as home dir Raydium: timecall: win32 modulo every 19.98 minutes, modulodiv is 2^0 Raydium: timer: detection: 1 iterations: diff: 4 steps (3579545/sec) Raydium: timecall: method accuracy = 0.001 ms (894886.25 Hz) Raydium: timecall: Using basic gettimeofday() method Raydium: timecall: OK (894886 Hz) Raydium: timecall: softcall 0: 1 Hz (3579545 clocks interval) Raydium: PHP support: OK Raydium: network: OK Raydium: network: server socket created Raydium: network: server OK: waiting for clients (8 max) at udp port 29104 Raydium: webserver: OK Raydium: web: starting Raydium HTTP server on port 29104 Raydium: network: now broadcasting : 'ManiaDrive Server. Use --title to change : )' (ManiaDrive) version 10 Raydium: timecall: softcall 1: 1 Hz (3579545 clocks interval) Raydium: timecall: softcall 2: 1 Hz (3579545 clocks interval) Raydium: Using repositories to get 'beg1' file Raydium: No valid repository found for this file, aborting. Raydium: ERROR ! cannot switch to track 'beg1' ! I also tried with a single-track (trying different tracks at once) tracklist, but the answer from mania_server.exe is the same. And then I didn't understand if the multiplayer mode is played with more cars in the same track or is a time trial with other players? |

Hello, The problem already arise in this thread: http://memak.raydium.org/viewtopic.php?t=306&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 But it's in french Quote: 2) mania_server_tracks.txt
Just create a text file mania_server_tracks.txt and put tracks name one per line. Or copy the content of mania_drive.story to have same tracks as in solo mode. After this everything will be ok (i hope). Have a nice day. Ouille |

Perfect!! Thank you very much! I haven't found it 'cause i don't speak French... I didn't try to play the game yet, but from the console it seems to work! So the problem was that I didn't know that mania_server_tracks.txt is the list of the files (with .mni), and not the list of tracks (without .mni) like mania_tracklist.txt! Thank you again! Bye! |
