Well, I'm still a Linux noob and I'm using Ubuntu. Eh... see... I can't play online. Says something about 'Internet connnection failed, set proxy' or something like that. What's it mean and how do I fix it?

Hello,

Are you sure of your network configuration ?

What do you mean play online ?

You need to have a server running somewhere. There is no mania drive server always running.

Try to build and run mania_server somwhere in your lan or on the same machine. After that you'll need to find some friend ;o)

Try to post the console log here.

Have a nice day.
Ouille.

hello,

use mania_server it's designed for multiplayer.

Just run it on the same machine. And don't forget to create your tracklist file.

Have a nice day.

Just to make things clear : ManiaDrive provides two network modes:

- network tracks, where you're playing alone in the track, but where your times are compared, in real-time, with other world-wide players on this track.
- LAN multiplayer, where you're playing with multiple players on the same tracks (but without collisions), using a local network.

For the first mode, you need an Internet connection, and for the second one, you should use "mania_server". A "proxy" error probably means that you're trying to use the first mode, but no Internet connection was found by Raydium (or a proxy setting is need and not provided to Raydium).
