Okay,

This is weird.
After restarting computer and loading into max resolution I have small lag and Mania Drive works.
After restarting computer & loading into max resolution, and changing resolution to lowest, I have no lag and Mania Drive runs Ok.
After restarting computer & loading into max resolution, changing resolution to lowest, then changing resolution back to highest Mania Drive runs Ok with no lag and I receive about half the FPS (50-60) of when I am in lowest resolution.

There is a weird problem here. Also after a little while (a few hours or so?) I receive the car and map dissapearing.

Thanks!

And also, if you know, I'm having trouble getting my own peices to work inside mania2.
When I try and test the track it screams Raydium: Error cannot open texture! over and over, what am I doing wrong?
Also, could you point me in the direction of how to change center of gravite in Mania Drive code?
Also could you point me in the direction of how to change speed of vehicle in Mania Drive code?
Thanks!

Hello,

When I try and test the track it screams Raydium: Error cannot open texture! over and over, what am I doing wrong?

Verify that texture used is tga and in the same directory as the .tri
Try with a small piece, each time (so perhaps for each vertex) the texture is not found you will have one log message.
Try to use an existant raydium texture for tests.
Post your files here.

Also, could you point me in the direction of how to change center of gravite in Mania Drive code?
Create_car line 2136 changer balancier weight or position.

Also could you point me in the direction of how to change speed of vehicle in Mania Drive code?
Line 2389 but it's a bit tricky.

Have a nice day

Hello, because of timecall issue I am having I have just been experimenting with Blender for a while...
I found they had a game engine built into it also...
I downloaded a game that was made inside Blender...
And I am receiving a (very?) similar problem.
The game is also laggy and the console says "Problem with clock"
I am guessing that would be the same as the Raydium timecall issue I am having..
Maybe this will help to find out what is causing this?

Thanks!

Hello,

From my point of view, i thought the problem was solved :(

It seem that there is a problem with hardware clock on your computer.

But it will be very difficult to debug this by message, as it's really hardware related.

Post here exact machine name and config i'll se if i can find something approching to make some tests.

If problem occurs try to post console output.

Have a nice day

Hello, I apologize lots because this issue is very weird and sometimes(?) it's like it's fixed but sometimes it's like it isn't. :D

I found this thread: http://www.blendenzo.com/blog/troublesh ... ith-clock/

And installed the program.... It runs Ok I guess for the time being (still Kinda sometimes laggy but is easilly play-able :) ). I feel afraid to say that it's gone because I already have so many times....

So, lets move on to different problems...

Well.... I'm experiencing difficulties with the editor....

I tried making a piece in Blender that is the same size as any other Mania piece.. and tried using texture from another mania piece.....

So,
2 problems.

1. mania2.bat will not "test" a track... Here is console error.....

(I know I still have timecall error but game is kinda okay..? )

2. After using a piece made in blender (same size as all others roughly) and just a flat surface..... With a texture from existing Mania piece.... And saving map due to the fact that I cannot test tracks? The track will not load... (maybe this is because of not being able to test with editor?)

EDIT: Ok I tested saving a track from Mania2 using only reguler piece that came with Mania Drive (not one I created) and it runs Ok (except I still cannot test)

Thanks!

Hello,

I'm a bit confused by your post ...

Are you using the last raydium version ? At least rev 806.

Update your local copy from svn and then rebuild dll.

Secodnly what is this mania2.bat ?

Then your console output is a bit strange ...

Can you post maniadrive block .tri file and nmi file, i'll make some tests.

Have a nice day
Ouille.

ouille: mania2.bat is a "shell" script we provide in the official release of MD so people only see two .bat files when they open the directory. The only thing it do is "cd" to a subdirectory where the binaries and data are present, and launch the suitable binary.

The other thing is that mania2 allow the user to test its track, and it launch internaly ManiaDrive binary to do so. It explains the "strange" output in the console: mania2(start) -> maniadrive(start) -> maniadrive(stop) -> mania2(stop).
