I made a few blocks for use in the track editor. You can dl them here: http://alban.dotsec.net/data/md_blocks.tar.gz
Most are far from perfect as i had a hard time to properly align/scale the texture to match the already existing blocks. But at least they should allow a bit more diversity in the tracks. Any suggestion is welcome (except doing with/without ground variants these are already planned).

PS: I forgot to put a license in the tarball but everything is evidently GPL.

Hi, and thanks a lot for this contribution albeu.

IMHO, curved blocks really looks great !

The small trouble here is that we're currently working on new blocks for ManiaDrive 2. There's two answers :

- You work SamB who's responsible for ManiaDrive 2 new blocks to port your blocks to MD2 "new graphical style" (SamB, what do you think about this ?)
- We make an update to ManiaDrive 1.2 with a bunch of new tracks using your new blocks.

Your opinion ?

IMHO it all depend when you plan to release MD2. If it is pretty soon (ie. 1 month or so) then it make no sense to spend too much time with tracks for MD1. Otherwise I would say let's do both.

BTW what do you mean with "new graphical style"? Just a new texture set? If so where i can get it?

ManiaDrive 2 will not be out before a few months, probably, since there's still a lot of work to be done.
About the "new style", have a look to SamB's work. Here is the most up to date archive from SamB: http://www.rgrafx.org/15_newblocks.tar.bz2

I thonk you can try to contact him with a private message to know more about his work, if you want.

edit: there's also a few pictures here: http://www.rgrafx.org/blog/?002/Maniadrive

Hi, I just got mania drive, and it is really nice how easy it is to make pieces with blender. Here are some pieces and a track that uses them:

Thanks for the nice game. The only thing I am sometimes unsure about with games like this is why people invest so much in something they don't charge for.
