We can try, in this order:
1-Full string -> es_ES.UTF-8
2-the chars until the dot -> es_ES
3-the chars until a '_' or a dot -> es
4-by default the 'en' language

In that way will have support for general translations and for more focused translations...

Some news about win32: It works ... but you must set manually a environment variable before launching the game: "set LC_MESSAGES=fr_FR" :)

I'm looking if there's any way to ask windows current user's language and send it to setlocale().
