news: The designer is going to send me a few new textures, so DO NOT include the "data" folder in the package. I'll add here when ready.
Thanks

Hello,

Ok it's done.

You can find full tested version here:
http://ftp.cqfd-corp.org/versusrx.zip

And with data folders:
http://ftp.cqfd-corp.org/versusrx_data.zip

I'll try them on "clean" windows xp install tomorrow morning.

BUT:
Building release (versusrx.exe) i have problem with fire bullet collision, they don't destroy foes ships.

I also put debug build (versusrxd.exe) in the archive, you can test both of them.

For the bug press down key in the street at the time of getting trapped and you can continue to play (i manage to do it several times).

Anyway

Good Luck !

Have a nice day
Ouille.

Nice achievement ! Well done. Downloading ... :)

edit: it's very good, well polished ... looks very pro !
edit2: it's quiet frustrating to restart the whole game from the beginning when losing a level ;) (stage 2 for me)

It remains a vital element. This item is still on my TODO list: VersusRX translation.
Is this entry relevant for the future or can it be deleted, is there a plan to release a new/next version of VersusRX, what's going on now? :)

Yes, the translations will come... but give me a breaktime :)
I have to prepare the code to support i18n, and also I was thinking about a system to allow multilanguage textures.

I'm relieved to hear that. :)

About multilingual textures: Do you suspect that we can perhaps use the textures, without included text, only as backgrounds and draw the text with a custom in-game font? The translator could then easily translate the content using e. g. Poedit, but don't have to modify the images himself using e. g. The GIMP.

Hmmm, Not too much creative way to do that, dont' you think?
It would be faster, but the designers would't be able to create dust or broken textures, for example.
I think that real textures are a good option.
