 Post subject: Gamepad question?

Hi, I'm using openSuse and have a game pad and joystick which are recognized as js1 and js2, (js0 is the receiver for wireless mouse/keyboard). I'm fairly new to Linux with little experience of using commands, so don't really understand how to do the command switch for joysticks mentioned in the FAQ? If I put in

./mania_drive.sh -- joydev /dev/input/js1

it tells me there is no such file as mania_drive.sh, and if I put in the path to ManiaDrive

/usr/share/games/ManiaDrive/mania_drive-- joydev /dev/input/js1

it just launches the game without changing js0. So can someone please tell me what is the correct sequence of commands to input? Also, if I do switch to js1 or js2 will that mean that the mouse/keyboard (js0) will no longer work with the game?

Thanks!

It looks like it is trying to open the mouse/keyboard (js0) instead of the gamepad (js1) or the joystick (js2)?

Hello,

Your command line seem to be wrong.

the option is --joydev without space betwwen -- and joydev
after the option you need one space and name on the device.

so your command line must look like this:

mania_drive --joydev /dev/input/js1

Hello,

Message is not revelant, it is hardocded in raydium library.

I've corrected this on the svn.

Can you try to update you copy of raydium and maniadrive from svn.

Rebuild librairie and application and give me console log.

I'm sorry but i don't have linux and joystick to test.

can you also verfiy that device /dev/input/js1 exist ?

I'm so sorry I'm being really stupid - I forgot to plug in the gamepad after you gave me the new command, doh! The good news is it's working fine now.
